On the Shoulders of Giants depicts thirty-eight American generals and admirals gathered on a beachhead that could be the Pacific or the Atlantic. In the distance on one side, a ship steams through a stormy sea while brave marines raise the flag over Iwo Jima on the other side. Overhead an armada of B29’s break through the dark clouds of war as rays of light and hope and victory stream over the brave military leaders on the beach. These courageous champions and the stories behind them tell a more compelling saga of the most comprehensive world-wide struggle that took 12 million brave, courageous and unselfish heroes of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine corps into harm’s way. These patriots and their sacrifices led the United States into battle against repressive and evil dictatorships that denied the basic freedoms of life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness due every human being.
